چکیده
Abstract The paper presents the research on reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened with carbon fibre polymer (CFRP) strips various configurations in terms of anchoring and tensioning. five full-scale RC total length 6.0 m were passive strips, without mechanical anchorages at their ends, as well tensioned by novel prestressing system three levels ranging from 30 to 50% CFRP tensile strength. All tested under static flexural load up failure they investigated a full range behaviour, including post-debonding phase. main parameters considered this study include use anchorages, effect tensioning influence levels. Several performance indicators have been established evaluate beams’ behaviour. revealed that using exhibited higher cracking, yielding ultimate moments compared passively bonded strips. Moreover, increasing level has significant positive beams. However, it did not affect load-bearing capacity optimal for determined 60%

Flexural Testing of High Strength Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with CFRP Sheets
The objective of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of externally bonded CFRP sheets to increase the flexural strength of reinforced high strength concrete (HSC) beams. Four-point bending flexural tests to complete failure on six concrete beams, strengthened with different layouts of CFRP sheets were conducted. Three-dimensional nonlinear finite element (FE) models were adopted by A...
متن کاملThe Influence of CFRP Anchorage on Achieving Sectional Flexural Capacity of Strengthened Concrete Beams
This research program is intended to verify the influence of using distributed external U-wrap CFRP anchorage to shift the failure mode from overall debonding to sectional flexural failure for concrete beams externally bonded with CFRP sheets. Premature cover delamination and FRP debonding are predominant failure modes in FRP flexural strengthening that may be delayed or prevented by using FRP ...
متن کاملStrut Deformation in CFRP-Strengthened Reinforced Concrete Deep Beams
Strut-and-tie model (STM) method evolved as one of the most useful designs for shear critical structures and discontinuity regions (D-regions). It provides widespread applications in the design of deep beams as recommended by many codes. The estimation of bottle-shaped strut dimensions, as a main constituent of STM, is essential in design calculations. The application of carbon fibre reinforced...
متن کاملExperimental Investigations on U- and L-Shaped End Anchored CFRP Laminate Strengthened Reinforced Concrete Beams - Springer
Strengthening of reinforced concrete beams using externally bonded CFRP laminate is the most popular choice. However, premature end peeling of CFRP laminate has been shown to be the main weakness of this method. Development of high shear and normal stresses at the end of strengthening laminate is the key reason to cause end peeling which is not preventable by conventional anchoring system. This...
متن کاملPre-Cracked Concrete Shear Strengthened with External CFRP Strips
In reinforced concrete design, there are situations where transfer of shear across a specific plane needs to be considered. Examples of such situation include corbels, bearing shoes, ledger beam bearing, and a host of connection between precast concrete elements. In this study, the shear transfer behavior of reinforced concrete is investigated experimentally by conducting test on 6 precracked p...
